Hay fever hives. Fever and hives are associated together because there are so many types of illnesses that are capable of producing a fever and any of these illnesses can cause hives. The rash especially hives may form due to direct skin exposure to such allergens. Hay fever is an allergic reaction that is caused due to exposure to environmental allergens like pollen pet dander or dust mites.
Reactions can range from mild such as rashes hives nausea and fatigue to severe anaphylactic shock. The most common cause of hives all over the body is viral infections. Colds last 1-3 weeks.
What is hay fever. Hay fever rashes develop when the body mounts an immune response to otherwise harmless substances in the air like pollen from blooming trees weeds grasses and also dust and pet dander. When you get hay fever your symptoms are similar to when you have a cold such as a runny nose sore.
A rash may be mistaken for hives. Its just another term for allergic rhinitis. Its used to help relieve symptoms of hay fever seasonal allergies other allergies and the common cold as well as itchy skin due to insect bites hives and other causes.
Hay fever is extremely common in children though they rarely develop before 3 years of age. Treatment for hay fever can include taking antihistamines to prevent an allergic reaction or corticosteroids steroids to help reduce swelling and inflammation. Hay fever is the common name for a pollen allergy which causes symptoms such as sneezing itchiness and watery eyes.
Research has confirmed this. Hay fever symptoms last 6-8 weeks for each pollen. But hives can still occur due to hay fever.
